
Peter Lundquist, Vice President of Development
Peter (Pete) Lundquist is Vice President of Development, leading NorthStar’s Utility-Scale Renewables team that originates and acquires early-stage developments and develops, builds, and delivers projects into commercial operation.
Pete has successfully developed over 7 gigawatts (GW) of wind and solar generation and 2 GW of natural gas electric generation. He instills in his team a focus of collaborating with clients — learned through two decades of consulting — to seek and deliver value-added, cost-saving solutions. Pete’s diverse consulting experience also includes transmission lines, first-of-a-kind air emission controls, groundwater treatment systems, in situ remediation systems, and industrial wastewater treatment systems.
Before joining CMS Energy, Pete led a nationwide consulting practice focused on renewable energy development across 20 offices and ran a 50-person consulting practice across 3 offices in Michigan.
Pete holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University and Management Training from Aquinas College. He was co-captain of the MSU swim team and assistant coach for two state champion high school swim teams.
